No more food Nanay!

Hello everyone!
This will be our Thanksgiving questions. Remeber the gift of giving and being thankful for what you have. This day wasn't just to freeload off one another. It's to show that this world isn't as bad as it seems we all have hearts why not show it to everyone. Even the ones we do not know. Tis' the season to be kind, loving, understanding, and to care for one another as well as being there for one another.
"Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year because it reminds us to give thanks and to count our blessings. Suddenly, so many things become so little when we realize how blessed and lucky we are." - Joyce Giraud

psstt...if you happen to get one from your turkey make a wish ^_^!
  1. Do you like Pumpkin Pie?
  2. What is your favorite food to eat during Thanksgiving meal?
  3. What is your favorite Thanksgiving side dish? You can’t say turkey!
  4. What is your favorite beverage (alcoholic or nonalcoholic) to go with your Thanksgiving Day meal?
  5. What are you most thankful for this year?

Choreo Reference - SFSU New Moves Concert

The link below is of Igal Tabawan that the Kaloob Dance Ministry taught us in the Philippines in 2013...

and here are other great examples of pangalay...

----performed by the resident dance troupe, Tambuli Cultural Dance Troupe of Mindanao State University in Tawi-Tawi featuring Tauti - a mimetic dance where men dive to pick pearls from the ocean,  Langka Silat - martial arts demonstration, Langka Baluang - a mimetic martial arts depicting an angry monkey, Bulah-Bulah - a couples dance using bamboo castanets, Pangalay, and a ritual dance depicting healing possession of the Badjao.

----performed by Ligaya Amilbangsa, who founded the Tambuli Cultural Dance Troupe and the only person in the Philippines who has published research on pangalay.  Linggisan is a mimetic dance depicting a seagull

----a staged adapatation of pangalay that still uses traditional movements, costumes and music, but could be seen as a more contemporary. Performed by the Madayaw Cultural Ensemble of Davao at the annual Sayaw Mindanao Competition.  Their concept is of a marriage.
